Governance

The school has an active and highly supportive governing body. Many governors have or have had children at the school and they offer a wide spectrum of skills and experience. The group is composed of six parent governors, one representative of the local authority, four staff governors, two foundation governors, five community governors with special expertise in, for example, the law or accountancy, and six associate members. In addition to regular meetings the governors visit the school and some are involved in the selection of senior staff. Each member is ‘attached’ to a particular department and takes special interest in its welfare and progress.
